About these terms

This website is run by Meowches, a small handmade business in Pennsylvania, USA (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to every purchase made on this site, along with our Shipping, Returns & exchanges and Privacy policies, which are part of these terms.

Orders

• You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to place an order.
• Your order is accepted once your payment is successfully processed and you see the order confirmation.
• Most pieces are one of a kind or made in small batches. If an item sells out before your order goes through, or we can’t fill it for any reason, we’ll let you know and refund you in full for anything we can’t send.
• We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud, if there’s an obvious pricing or listing error, or if the order breaks these terms. If we do, you’ll get a full refund.
• Custom orders are agreed with you by message before you pay. Details like fabric, size and timing are confirmed in writing.

Pricing, payment & tax

• All prices are in US dollars.
• The total you pay is calculated by our checkout at the time of your order and shown on the review step before you pay. Prices may change at any time, but changes never affect an order you’ve already placed.
• Payments are processed securely by Square. We accept major credit and debit cards, Google Pay and Cash App Pay.
• Sales tax: orders shipping to Pennsylvania are charged Pennsylvania sales tax of 6%, which includes the shipping charge as Pennsylvania law requires. We don’t currently collect sales tax on orders shipping to other states. If your state requires use tax, you’re responsible for it.
• Shipping costs are shown at checkout and explained on our Shipping page.

Discount codes

From time to time we offer discount codes. Unless the offer says otherwise:

• Only one code can be used per order, and codes can’t be combined with other offers.
• Codes have no cash value and can’t be exchanged for cash, credit or gift cards.
• Codes may have an expiry date, a minimum spend or other conditions, which we’ll tell you about when we share them.
• Single-use codes are void once they’ve been used, even if the order is later cancelled or returned.
• Codes can’t be applied to orders you’ve already placed.
• We may end or change a promotion at any time, and may cancel orders that misuse a code (for example, codes obtained or shared in ways we didn’t intend).

Handmade variation

Colors can also look slightly different depending on your screen. These differences are part of the charm of handmade and aren’t defects. If something seems truly wrong, though, please tell us.

Our bags and pouches are everyday accessories, not toys. Please keep small parts like zipper pulls and snaps away from small children and pets.

Shipping & returns

We ship within the United States only. Once USPS has your package, it’s delivered by them. Our help with lost or damaged packages is described on the Shipping page. Returns, exchanges and cancellations are covered on Returns & exchanges.

Intellectual property

The photos, text, logo, designs and other content on this site belong to Meowches and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Please don’t copy or reuse them without our written permission. Sharing a link or a product photo to show off your new bag is welcome, of course!

Fabric prints are designed by their respective designers and manufacturers. We sew with fabric bought from them, but we don’t claim their artwork as our own.

Using the site

Please don’t misuse the site. That means no attempting to break or overload it, no scraping, no automated orders or bots, and no fraudulent payments. We may block access to protect the shop and our customers.

Limitation of liability

We work hard to keep the site accurate and running, but it’s provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be error-free or available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Meowches isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t legally be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first. Most things can be solved with a friendly message. Any legal dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless the law says otherwise.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
